This is very cool and very creepy. I’ll be honest, if I were running this, I would stay away from the child-death, because it’s something I’m not comfortable with, and turn the incompetent-necromancer into the kids themselves, who used magic they didn’t understand to get revenge against the cruel owners of the orphanage.
This is exactly the kind of modification I try to actively encourage when I make these! =)
